Quick answer: Compounded semaglutide costs about $99 to $324 a month all-in at the starting dose across the 15 providers we compared (prices checked Oct 20, 2026 on each seller's own site). The lowest price, $99, is available month to month at one seller and on 12-month plans at two others; month to month, it runs about $99 to $324.
Monthly vs 12-month: what you actually pay. Month to month: $99–$324 a month. On a 12-month plan: $99–$197 a month, usually billed as one upfront payment ($1,188 to $2,364 at the sellers that bill the year at once).
- FDA-approved semaglutide now sits inside that range: the Wegovy pill is $149 a month at the 1.5 mg starting dose through NovoCare ($199 at 4 mg, $299 at 9 and 25 mg), checked Oct 20, 2026.
- Lowest in our table: $99/mo, a three-way tie: Cora (12-month plan), Eden (month to month) and Trimi Health (annual plan). Next, $99.67/mo on a 3-month bundle (GobyMeds), then $109/mo (Mochi Health, $60 medication + $49 membership).
- Watch for: monthly memberships, prices that rise with the dose, and first-month offers that renew higher.
- Insurance: rarely covers it. HSA/FSA reimbursement is often possible.
Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and is not the same as Wegovy or Ozempic.
Compounded semaglutide cost by provider (Oct 2026)
What this covers: 15 providers we track that publish a compounded semaglutide injection price, not every seller on the market. How it is sorted: by the lowest all-in monthly price at the starting dose, on any plan length. A price that needs a prepaid plan says so.

*First 12 months is our arithmetic at the lowest plan's price, not a quote: the upfront total for prepaid plans, otherwise 12 months (13 four-week charges for Remedy Meds). Promos and first-month prices left out. Where the price rises with the dose, a year at a higher dose costs more. The seller's checkout is the final word on price.
Tablets or drops instead of injections:
- Henry Meds, sublingual tablets or drops: $164/mo on a 12-month plan; $179 month to month (re-read Oct 20). Henry Meds programs.
- Medvi, daily dissolving tablet: $299/mo; first month $249 (Oct 11; the site showed "starting at $249" on Oct 20). Medvi.
Not taking new patients: Fella Health ($299/mo in our Oct 11 check) said on Oct 20, 2026 that it is "temporarily pausing new signups" (Fella Health), so it is left out of the ranking.
Compounded semaglutide vs the Wegovy pill and Ozempic: cost
For years compounded semaglutide was the low-cost route. That changed with the makers' own cash prices: the FDA-approved Wegovy pill now costs less at its starting dose than most compounded plans in our table. NovoCare self-pay prices, medication only (a prescriber visit is extra), checked Oct 20, 2026:
| Product | FDA status | Starting dose | Higher doses |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wegovy pill (daily) | FDA-approved for chronic weight management | $149/mo at 1.5 mg | $199 at 4 mg; $299 at 9 and 25 mg |
| Wegovy pen (weekly) | FDA-approved for chronic weight management | $199 for the first 2 fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg (new patients, through Dec 31, 2026), then $349 | $349 up to 2.4 mg; $399 at 7.2 mg |
| Ozempic pen (weekly) | FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes | $199 for the first 2 fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg (new patients, through Dec 31, 2026), then $349 | $349 up to 1 mg; $499 at 2 mg |
| Compounded semaglutide (weekly injection) | Not FDA-approved | $99–$324/mo all-in (our table) | Same at some sellers; rises at others |
So is oral semaglutide less expensive? At the starting dose, the Wegovy pill ($149) costs less than 8 of the 15 compounded injection plans in our table, but it climbs to $299 at the higher doses, where flat-priced compounded plans stay put. Every pill dose and its first-year total are in our Wegovy pill price guide. List prices, before any discount, are $1,349.02 per Wegovy package and $1,027.51 per Ozempic pen (NovoCare list price). With commercial insurance that covers them, Novo's savings offers can bring Wegovy or Ozempic to as little as $25 a month; eligible Medicare Part D members can get Wegovy for $50 a month through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (July 1, 2026 to Dec 31, 2027). None of those apply to compounded semaglutide.
Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved, has not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality, and is not the same as Wegovy or Ozempic. Every brand price is in our semaglutide cost guide and on the Wegovy cost without insurance page. For how the products differ beyond price, see compounded semaglutide vs Wegovy, and for what compounded semaglutide is, our compounded semaglutide guide. Pricing tirzepatide instead? How much is compounded semaglutide per month by plan length?
Most sellers charge less per month the longer you commit. These seven publish a full ladder:
| Provider | Month to month | 3 months | 6 months | 12 months | Paid upfront for 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cora | $175 | $145 | $120 | $99 | $1,188 |
| Trimi Health | $175 | $145 | $120 | $99 | $1,188 |
| Mochi Health* | $139 | $129 | $119 | $109 | $1,308 |
| Amble | $179 | $160 | $135 or $145 | $135 | $1,620 |
| Shed | $199 | – | $179 | $159 | $1,908 |
| Henry Meds (injection) | $297 | – | $247 | $197 | $2,364 |
| Fridays | $249 | – | – | $150 | $1,800 |
Before prepaying, read the cancellation and refund terms: some sellers re-price the months you used at the monthly rate if you cancel early.
Does compounded semaglutide cost more at higher doses?
At some sellers. Semaglutide is started low and raised every 4 weeks (see the semaglutide dosage chart), so a per-dose price climbs in the first months.
- Same price at every dose: Amble, Cora, Eden (except during promotions) and Trimi Health.
- Priced by dose: Mochi Health charges $60 a month at its lowest dose, rising through $70, $82 and $92 to $99 at the top dose, plus its membership. GobyMeds' bundles also rise with dose, and Henry Meds' plans cover doses up to a cap.
- Not stated: the others don't publish a dose ladder. Ask what you'll pay at the dose you expect to reach.
Already on a vial? The semaglutide dose calculator converts a prescribed dose to syringe units.
How much is a vial of compounded semaglutide?
A per-vial quote only means something once you know how long the vial lasts. Semaglutide vials differ in concentration (often a few mg per mL) and fill volume, and your weekly dose decides how fast you use one. Turn any vial quote into a monthly figure: divide the price by the number of weekly doses you'll actually draw from it, then multiply by 4.33.
The catch is the 28-day rule. Once a multi-dose vial is punctured, the FDA advises discarding it after 28 days even if some is left (FDA's concerns with unapproved GLP-1 drugs used for weight loss (content current as of Oct 1, 2026; read Oct 20, 2026)), so at most about four weekly doses come out of each vial. Example: a $150 vial holding 5 mg looks like 10 weeks at 0.5 mg a week, but with the 28-day limit you use about 4 doses: $150 ÷ 4 × 4.33 ≈ $162 a month.
A flat monthly price also gets cheaper per milligram as the dose rises. This is arithmetic, not a dosing guide: the dose steps are the Wegovy label's schedule, and your prescriber sets yours.
| Weekly dose | mg in a month | Flat $99/mo compounded | Flat $175/mo compounded | Wegovy pen, NovoCare (4 weekly doses per fill) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.25 mg | 1.1 mg | $91.38/mg | $161.54/mg | $349/mg ($349 for 4 doses) |
| 0.5 mg | 2.2 mg | $45.69/mg | $80.77/mg | $174.50/mg ($349 for 4 doses) |
| 1 mg | 4.3 mg | $22.85/mg | $40.38/mg | $87.25/mg ($349 for 4 doses) |
| 1.7 mg | 7.4 mg | $13.44/mg | $23.76/mg | $51.32/mg ($349 for 4 doses) |
| 2.4 mg | 10.4 mg | $9.52/mg | $16.83/mg | $36.35/mg ($349 for 4 doses) |
Compounded semaglutide with B12: does it cost more?
Not as a rule. Some pharmacies compound semaglutide with vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) or B6, and some sellers market the combination; whether it changes the price depends on the seller, so ask whether a quote is for semaglutide alone or the combination. We rank each plan as sold.
- It is not an approved combination. No FDA-approved semaglutide contains B12, and the FDA says a semaglutide and B12 product can still count as a copy of an approved drug when both strengths are within 10% of the commercially available products ("FDA clarifies policies for compounders as national GLP-1 supply begins to stabilize" (content current as of Apr 1, 2026; read Oct 20, 2026)).
- It has been recalled. FDA's Enforcement Report lists Class II recalls of compounded semaglutide-B12 products, including semaglutide-glycine-cyanocobalamin injections from Payless Compounders for lack of assurance of sterility (D-0471-2026, classified Apr 13, 2026).
- It does not change the legal or FDA status. With or without B12, compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and not the same as Wegovy or Ozempic. More in our compounded semaglutide guide.
What the price includes, and the fees to check
- Membership or program fees. Mochi Health ($49 to $79 a month) and Ivim Health ($75 a month) charge one on top of the medication; the table's all-in figure includes it.
- First-month offers that renew higher. Medvi $179 then $299; Remedy Meds $179 then $299 every 4 weeks; TrimRx $199 then $299; SkinnyRx $99 then $249; Noom Med $129 for the first 4 weeks, then $249 a month.
- Billing every 4 weeks. Remedy Meds bills every 28 days, which is 13 charges a year; we convert it to a calendar month.
- Promo codes. Fridays showed "$99/mo" with a code on Oct 20, 2026, for "a limited time" with no end date; we rank its regular $150 annual price.
- Added vitamins. Some pharmacies compound semaglutide with vitamin B12 or B6. That is a formulation choice, not an FDA-approved combination; compare the price of the plan as sold (more under B12 above).
Does insurance, HSA or FSA cover compounded semaglutide?
Insurance: rarely. Compounded semaglutide is not an FDA-approved product, so most health plans don't cover it, and the makers' savings cards apply only to their own brands. Novo Nordisk's $25 savings offers are for Wegovy and Ozempic with commercial coverage only. Ask your plan before assuming either way.
HSA and FSA: often usable, as reimbursement. A prescribed medication can be a qualified medical expense under IRS Publication 502, and several sellers in the table say they accept HSA/FSA cards. Confirm with your plan administrator and keep the prescription. More: Can you use HSA/FSA for a GLP-1?
Are compounded GLP-1s going away?
Not entirely, but the rules narrowed. The FDA determined the semaglutide injection shortage resolved on Feb 21, 2025. Its period of enforcement discretion for compounding copies then ended: for state-licensed 503A pharmacies after a court ruling in April 2025, and for 503B outsourcing facilities on May 22, 2025 ("FDA clarifies policies for compounders as national GLP-1 supply begins to stabilize" (content current as of Apr 1, 2026; read Oct 20, 2026)).
Today a 503A pharmacy can compound semaglutide for an individual patient's prescription, but the FDA reminds compounders they may not compound, "regularly or in inordinate amounts", drugs that are essentially copies of a commercially available product. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved, and the FDA says unapproved versions "do not undergo FDA's review for safety, effectiveness and quality before they are marketed" (FDA's concerns with unapproved GLP-1 drugs used for weight loss (content current as of Oct 1, 2026; read Oct 20, 2026)).
How to check that a low price is legitimate
A lower monthly price is only useful if the product is real and the prescriber and pharmacy are licensed. The FDA lists warning signs for online GLP-1 sellers, including a company that "offers medicine at deep discounts or prices that seem too good to be true" (FDA's concerns with unapproved GLP-1 drugs used for weight loss (content current as of Oct 1, 2026; read Oct 20, 2026)). Before you pay:
- A licensed prescriber decides. A legitimate seller requires a clinician visit before any prescription; skip any site that ships semaglutide without one.
- The pharmacy is named. The label should name the compounding pharmacy. Check that it is licensed in your state through your state board of pharmacy, and whether it is a 503A pharmacy (patient-specific prescriptions) or a 503B outsourcing facility registered with the FDA.
- The website checks out. The FDA's BeSafeRx page explains how to spot a fake online pharmacy, and LegitScript's certification search shows whether a telehealth or pharmacy site is certified.
- Nobody calls it FDA-approved or generic. Compounded semaglutide is neither. A seller that says otherwise is misdescribing it.

Frequently asked questions
How much is compounded semaglutide per month?
In our table, $99 to $324 a month all-in at the starting dose, checked Oct 20, 2026. The lowest price is available month to month at one seller (Eden) and on 12-month plans at two others; month to month, it runs $99 to $324.
How much does compounded semaglutide cost without insurance?
The same $99 to $324 a month, because insurance rarely covers it: these are cash prices. It is not FDA-approved.
Is there compounded semaglutide with no membership fee?
Yes. Amble, Cora, Fridays, GobyMeds, Henry Meds, Medvi, Remedy Meds, Shed, TrimRx and Trimi Health include everything in one price; Mochi Health and Ivim Health add a monthly membership or program fee, and Eden's terms described one on Oct 13 although its GLP-1 page said there is none.
Is compounded semaglutide cheaper than the Wegovy pill?
Not always. The FDA-approved Wegovy pill is $149 a month at the 1.5 mg starting dose through NovoCare (checked Oct 20, 2026), which sits inside the $99–$324 compounded range; it rises to $199 at 4 mg and $299 at 9 and 25 mg.
Is compounded semaglutide the same as Ozempic or Wegovy?
No. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and not the same as Ozempic or Wegovy; the FDA has not reviewed it for safety, effectiveness or quality.
Does the price go up when my dose increases?
It depends on the seller: Amble, Cora, Eden and Trimi Health charge one price at every dose, while Mochi Health goes from $60 to $99 a month in medication plus membership and GobyMeds' bundles also rise with dose. Check the "Price at higher doses" column.
Are compounded GLP-1 drugs going away?
Not entirely, but the rules narrowed when the semaglutide shortage ended in February 2025: compounders may not make essentially copies of Wegovy or Ozempic. A state-licensed 503A pharmacy can still compound for an individual patient's prescription.
Does insurance cover compounded semaglutide?
Rarely. It is not an FDA-approved product, and Novo Nordisk's savings offers apply only to its own brands.
Can I use an HSA or FSA for compounded semaglutide?
Often, as reimbursement: a prescribed medication can be a qualified medical expense. Confirm with your plan administrator.
What's the cheapest compounded semaglutide?
In our table, the lowest all-in price at the starting dose is $99 a month, shared by Cora (12-month plan), Eden (month to month) and Trimi Health (annual plan), then GobyMeds at $99.67 on a 3-month bundle and Mochi Health at $109. Eden's fees and GobyMeds' dose pricing carry caveats noted in the table, and none of this is the whole market.
How much is a vial of compounded semaglutide?
Vial prices vary with the vial's mg and the seller, so convert to a month: price ÷ weekly doses you draw from it × 4.33. Because the FDA advises discarding a punctured multi-dose vial after 28 days, count no more than about four doses per vial.
Does compounded semaglutide with B12 cost more?
It depends on the seller; ask whether the quote is for semaglutide alone or the combination. B12 does not make it FDA-approved, and the FDA says a semaglutide-B12 product can still count as a copy of an approved drug.
How much does semaglutide cost at the pharmacy?
Without insurance, the list price is $1,349.02 per Wegovy package and $1,027.51 per Ozempic pen (NovoCare, checked Oct 20, 2026); Novo Nordisk has announced a $675 list price for both from Jan 1, 2027. Through NovoCare Pharmacy self-pay, the Wegovy pen is $349 a month and the Wegovy pill starts at $149.
How much is Ozempic per month in the USA?
Self-pay through NovoCare: $349 a month at 0.25 to 1 mg and $499 at 2 mg, with $199 for a new patient's first 2 fills through Dec 31, 2026 (checked Oct 20, 2026). The list price is $1,027.51, and Ozempic is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes.
What is the cheapest alternative to Ozempic?
On price at the starting dose, the FDA-approved Wegovy pill is $149 a month through NovoCare, and compounded semaglutide in our table starts at $99 a month. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and not the same as Ozempic; which option fits is a prescriber's decision.
What are the potential side effects of taking semaglutide?
Wegovy's and Ozempic's labels list nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation as common, and carry a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors. Compounded semaglutide has no FDA-approved label of its own, so ask your prescriber to go through the risks.
How we checked these prices
We read each seller's own pricing page (or its published terms) on the date in its row, mostly Oct 20, 2026. Where a page needed JavaScript, we opened it in a browser; where a price was no longer shown, the row keeps its earlier date and says so. The table covers 15 providers we track that sell compounded semaglutide injections, not every seller on the market. All-in means medication plus every fee the seller requires. Intro and first-month prices and promo codes are left out of the ranking and noted in the row. The figures come from our GLP-1 telehealth pricing dataset (CC-BY-4.0; last published Oct 14, 2026) with the Oct 20 re-checks applied; the full directory, every drug and brand, is on our GLP-1 provider price directory. No seller paid to be listed. Spotted a price that has changed? Tell us.
